How we handle your data

1. Who is responsible for your data

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to do so under Article 37 of the GDPR.

2. What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

Contact and quotation requests

When you use our contact form we process your name, email address, and — if you provide them — your phone number, company name and the content of your message. We use this solely to answer your question and to prepare a quotation.

Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics

If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, we process your IP address and information about your visit (pages viewed, referring website, approximate location, device and browser) to understand how the website is used.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time via our cookie settings, and withdrawal is as easy as giving consent.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard technical log data, including IP addresses, to keep the website available and secure.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security and availability of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Who receives your data

We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that process it on our behalf, under a data processing agreement:

  • Resend (Resend Inc., United States) — delivers the email generated by our contact form.
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland) — website statistics. Only after you accept analytics cookies.
  • Ahrefs Analytics (Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., Singapore) — cookieless traffic statistics. Only after you accept analytics cookies.
  • Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland) — the map on our contact page. Only loaded after you accept, or when you click to load it.
  • Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — hosting. Your data stays within the EU for this service.

4. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Resend (United States) and Ahrefs (Singapore) may process data outside the EEA. These transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented where necessary by additional safeguards. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards from us using the contact details above.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Contact and quotation requests: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can follow up and understand the history of your enquiry.
  • Data relating to an agreement: 7 years, to comply with the Dutch statutory retention obligation for tax records.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months.
  • Server logs: up to 30 days.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased
  • Restrict how we process your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interest
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing before withdrawal

To exercise any of these rights, email sales@tasenco.nl. We respond within one month. We may ask you to identify yourself so that we do not disclose data to the wrong person.

7. Complaints

If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, we would like to hear from you first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

8. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.

9. Providing your data

Providing your data is voluntary. Without a name, email address and message we cannot respond to your enquiry.

10. Security

The website is served exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection with HSTS, and we apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. Access to enquiries is limited to employees who need it to do their work.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
